Concession Trailer News
The Concession Trailer went to the Dardanelle Christmas Parade. A crew of festive Kiwanians was kept busy supplying the crowd of parade watchers with FREE Hot chocolate. Over 40 gallons of hot chocolate was given to the spectators. Sales of brownies, cookies, cider and coffee resulted in a profit that will go to help the kids of the River Valley. Thanks to Paula Pendergrass and Bill Belovitz for the donation of baked goods! Our club generated a lot of goodwill for Kiwanis everywhere.
National High School Fishing Tournament
The Concession Trailer was at the National High School Fishing Championship this July and netted about $1000. Thanks to all who gave of their time and helped staff the trailer. We served many snow cones in the heat.

Johnson County Peach Festival
Spud Westmoreland, concession trailer chairman, reports a gross income of $1221 and a net of $375 from the recent Johnson County Peach Festival held June 16, 17 & 18th. Thanks to the “Lemon Express” trailer committee for their leadership in planning and implementing this project. Spud Westmoreland, Dusty Hampton, Darlene Weir, Dortha Holloway and twenty other Kiwanians made this activity a success. Special thanks to four of our newest members, Maria Grace, Jim Taylor, Robert Biddle and Bob Veach who set the example by volunteering their time on this project.
It was also noted that supplies from this fund raiser will be used in our July 4th fund raiser.
Pickle Fest
Our concession trailer was at the Atkins Pickle Fest May 20th and 21st. And although we were rained out at 3:30 pm on the 20th the club managed to make a $256 profit to benefit the children of the River Valley.
